Many pianists’ icon, the shadow of pianist Bill Evans looms softly over modern jazz. His sensitivity, lyricism, and sophistication live in the music of today, still changing conceptions of what can be done at the piano.
Pianist Randy Ingram is joined by master bassist Rufus Reid and Bill’s great friend and collaborator drummer Joe LaBarbera for a night celebrating Evans’ music in the trio format he so loved.
